Similes and Metaphors

 

Today I had to make this DLO (Digital Learning Object). So what I had to do was the whole class had to read and learn about this story that we where reading for storytelling and that was called The Wayfinder. And this is another activity that we had to do using that story. And in this activity we had to use 5 sentences or more using similes and metaphors. So since we had just learnt about metaphors we could use just similes, just metaphors or a mixture of similes and metaphors. So what I did was I did a mixture of similes and metaphors. And I also decided to do more than 5 sentences so in the end I ended up doing 8 sentences. I use 4 similes and 4 metaphors. I hope you like it and leave some comments and maybe tips down below.

Manu's Ending

Today I did this DLO (digital learning object). So what the whole class had to do first was so we read this story called the wayfinder and then we basically had to make our own last paragraph that would fit into the story. So this is my example of my last paragraph that would fit into the story and I hope you like it. And I use one of the sentence starters from the story and the sentence starters from the story where night after night ..., you might wonder ..., from father to sun ..., as day dawned ..., day after day ..., on a starless night ..., in the silvery light of morning ..., and looking first to the rising sun. And the sentence starter that I use was in the silvery light of morning and then we just had to summerise the story and then just basically write the story after you had written your sentence starter so if you have any tips for me please tell me your tips for what I could do in the comments down below.

Who Am I?

 

Today I made this poem so the class had to do this who am I? poem and well we got given this poem which was written by a 10 year old boy

And then we had to write it by on our self but a little bit different then this so first everyone had to start with the first paragraph which said Who am I? some would say I am erik I have blue eyes I am long-sighted like my father and have blonde hair-short and good for swimming but what you not know about me is that... and then we all had to write the last paragraph at the end of our poem which said so who am I, you might ask? I have blue eyes I am long-sighted like my father and have blonde hair-short and good for swimming I am erik. So that is my example of my Who Am I? poem and I hope you like it and remember that if you like this you might even want to make one of these yourself and if you have a blog I would love you to put it on your blog and give me your blog link in the comments if you wanted me to have a look at your Who Am I? poem and I might even comment on your blog post and even give you tips on what you could do better! Today I took one of my storys from my library from school and I opened up a google doc and got the book and opened the book up and then I went into tools and I pressed on voice typing and then I just started basically reading the book and my computer would just write all the stuff that I said onto the google doc without me even needing to even touch the keyboard. It is basically like your just reading a book to your computer and then your computer is just writing everything that you just said onto the google doc. And then after I had read the book and my computer was finished writing the whole story then I just went over the whole story and started highlighting all the text that each character said. For each character I did a different colour. In the story their were 3 characters but I had to do 4 colours because I thought it would look better if the sound effects had a colour too so I ended up making a colour for the sound effects too. So the 3 characters where piggy, elephant and squrriel they all don't have names but I do not know why. So I did pink for piggy, blue for elephant, and then I did like a orangy yellow for squriel, And lucky last for the sound effects I did grey I was going to don black but then I thought that I wouldn't be able to see text but and then I thought I could change the colour of the text but then it looked all silly and weird it just didn't look good together with all different coloured text. 5 Sentence Story

 

Hi Everyone I had to make this DLO which stands for Digital Learning Object. So for storytelling my class my class had to read this book called the Wayfinder. So first our teacher Miss Wilkinson had to read the book to us, then Miss Wilkinson split us all in groups of 5 I think and in our groups we got a paragraph of the story and then from the paragraph that our group got given in our groups we had to think of 5 words that described the paragraph that our group had got given. Then we had to write a story but in 5 sentences so for the first sentence we had to start with once upon a time and introduce the main character, then for the second sentence we had to write where the main character lives, in the third sentence we had to write what the main characters special talent is, then for the fourth sentence we had to write what the problem was and for the last sentence we had to write how the main character solved the problem. The longest walk

 

I had to make a DLO about the book that my group is reading. The book that my group is reading is called The longest walk. DLO stands for Digital Learning Object. This was really fun to do because my group had to read a book about the longest walk. Then our group had to think of some fun facts about the story and put it on a Google Drawing.
