Summer learning journey ( Part 2 )

Hi everyone today I decided to do a SLJ ( Summer Learning Journey ) activity because I was bored in the morning and had nothing else to do.  So for today I chose this activity where I had to make a copy of this google drawing telling me what to do for this activity, then choose my background that I wanted to go along with this activity, after that I had to think of some words to describe a tiger and then make it into a kenning poem, and then once I had done all of those steps the next 2 steps were very easy ( download as a PNG and blog post it on your blog ).

It is Charlotte here from the SLJ commenting team!

Wow, what an incredible kennings poem you have written! I love the lines ‘Sinister - Stripes’ and ‘Jungle - Prowler’. You have illustrated a tiger’s nature amazingly! Ka pai!

Are tigers your favourite animal? My favourite animal is probably an elephant. That is because they are so graceful and caring, especially towards their own whānau! I think a line for a kennings poem could be ‘protective - stomps’!

Keep up the awesome mahi, Taliyah!

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Charlotte :)

    1. Hi Charlotte It's Taliyah

Yes a tiger is one of my favourite animals but it is definitely my 1st favourite.

I can see why Elephants are your favourite animal though, they are really cool aren't they?

Yes I will keep up the good work that I have been doing plus this has been really fun for me but I would have to say some of the activities are just not my type that's why I haven't been doing them.

      Have a good day!

    2. Kia ora Taliyah!

Tigers are amazing, it is no wonder they are your favourite!

      Elephants are so magnificent!

That is fair that some don't fancy you! Give the ones you like a go. remember though, the more you do, the bigger the chances you have of winning prizes!

      Ngā mihi nui,
      Charlotte :)

    3. Hi Charlotte It's Taliyah again

Yes tigers are amazing and elephants are magnificent.

I am not a very big animal fan though so it is very surprising for me to have so many favourites.

What do you mean when you say ( the more you do, the bigger the chances you have of winning prizes? ).

And do you mean the more kenning poems we do or the more different activities we do?

    4. Kia ora Taliyah!!

Hmmm, maybe it's nice to admire from afar? I like the idea of tigers and elephants, but I know I'd be scared to see them in person!!

Well, the more activities you do, the bigger chance you have of winning prizes! Did you know that you can win all sorts of things completing activities for SLJ?? And that is different activities by the way!

      Keep it up!

      Ngā mihi nui,
      Charlotte :)

    5. Hi Charlotte

Do you mean ( Hmmm, maybe it's nice to admire from afari? instead of afar ).

Well no I didn't know that you could win prizes but now that you have told me I guess I know now.

Ok thanks for answering my question and have a great day or night!

  2. Hi Taliyah!

My name is Finau and I'm a year 8 student at Pt England School. Nice Kenning Poem! I love all the different animal kenning you have though of. They sound very fierce and strong (in a good way). What is your favourite animal in the summer? Great work!

    1. Hi Finau It's Taliyah from Belfast School

I love your name what country is it from?

I don't know what my favourite summer animal would be ( that is a hard question, because I am not really a big animal fan ).

I would have to say my favourite summer animals would be snowshoe hare, ladybug, tortoise, panda, sloth and much more only in cute ways not in real life.

I hope to see you commenting on my blog a bit more!
